A plastics dough slide (6) is in the form of a rectangular box with rounded edges and is open at the top and bottom. It has outwardly protruding flanges for movement along a rectangular perforated steel plate (1). The surface of each of the two transverse walls which are at right angles to the direction of movement (6a) has its area nearer the plate (1) inclined to the transverse centre plane but at the point where this surface is nearest the central plane it extends away towards the perforated plate (1) to form an acute wedge angle with it so that this inclined face then forces markedly inclined stripes of dough trough the holes in the plate.
