1501365 Dental stands SIEMENS AG 19 Feb 1976 [28 Feb 1975] 06678/76 Heading A5R [Also in Division A4] A dental stand consists of a flat rectangular table 2 non-rotatably attached at one end to a pedestal 5 pivotably mounted about a vertical bearing 4 to one end of a horizontal swing arm 3, the arm being pivoted at its other end within a housing in which the stand may be stored, the table having square or rectangular section, handpiece holders 9 at one end of a long side 8 which are pivotable about a horizontal axis. The bearing 4 consists of a journal 30 on the arm 3 with a sleeve 31 within the pedestal and the table has a vertically depending tube 34 which is raisable and lowerable in a sleeve 33 connected to sleeve 31, movement of the tube being against a spring 35 and controlled by a solenoid brake. Supply lines 38 enter the pedestal through the arm 3 or extend from a supply block 39 and power the handpieces together with an electrical heater 18 and high frequency ultrasonic and illuminating equipment stored within the pedestal and accessible via a door 26 pivoted about its lower side. Also provided on the table are a cotton container 19, storage containers 20, 21 control knobs 13 and a slide speed control 14.
