Cooling system for tracked vehicle engine - has detachable couplings to engine to isolate cooler when fitted

The tracked vehicle has its power unit (24) fitted as one unit with the cooling system (4) mounted on top. In order to isolate the cooling system from engine vibrations, the cooling system is mounted on gravity supports (18) so that when it is fitted to the vehicles the body mountings support the cooling system and hold it away from the engine, without uncoupling the hoses. Removal of the power unit can be achieved in one operation without having to uncouple hoses and connections. This is especially useful for combat vehicles. The water radiator (5) can be held in place on the top of the engine by resilient clips (22) fitting over support projections (18) on the engine.
