An electronic regulator such as a Triac power regulator for installation in flush sockets is a "switch-on" and "switch-off" switch to vary the phase clipping angle independently of the position or setting of an adjustment resistor. An installed commercial type pressure switch for the "switch-on" and "switch-off" function has its pressure knob arranged axially in a longitudinal direction behind the axially displaced rotary switch shaft that actually actuates it, the rotary switch being mounted on the adjustment resistor.
