Lifting tackle for molten charges in steelworks - has two cables interconnecting ends of lifting bar not permitting tilting if broken

The lifting tackle is used for carrying charges of molten metal in steelworks and has four multiple pulley blocks, two each end of the lifting bar (35). This bar has lifting hooks (36,37) and swings on an arm (38,39) each end. Two lifting drums (5,6) are provided each separately driven and carrying the multiple cables (1,2,3,4) used to operate the tackle. The cables are fixed (31-34) to different sides of the pulley blocks and pass over both blocks in turn, being interwoven between them. If a cable breaks, or one of the drive units breaks down, the lifting bar is not permitted to tilt or drop.
