Rescue of exhausted persons from water - using two light resilient rods connected by expanding belt at outer ends

Rescuing appts. is for persons who are exhausted, unconscious or otherwise capable of gripping rescue appts. They are carried from the water onto a boat or land. The appts. comprises two light resilient rods (1) connected pivotably by a joint (2) at one end, and at the other end by a belt (3) which is extended in the outwardly pivoted position. The rods are pivoted together to encompass the person with the belt. In the belt are two gripping loops (4). The joint pref. consists of a rope twisted round and crossed over several times. The rods themselves pref. consist of light plastic tubes with sealed ends capable of floating in water.
