The method is designed for analysis of the vulcanisation process of rubber and the reaction kinetic evaluation of vulcametrically produced is therms. It is partic. suitable for determination of the speed constant, order, and activation energy of the reactions. It avoids disadvantages of conventional methods such as inaccuracies caused by final value measurement and long evaluation times using many data points. An envelope of periodic torque of the vulcameter is recorded against time and differentiated electronically. The differentiated signal is processed by a logarithmic circuit. The first, differential, and logarithmic signals are displayed against time on a recorder.
