Soil retaining properties improvement method - for sandy soil, consists of laying mixture of refuse and mud in cohesive layer

The method for improving the water retaining properties of soils, consists of laying a mixture of domestic refuse from which any unsuitable materials have been removed. Clarifying mud is laid in the form of a cohesive layer over the ground to a depth corresponding roughly to the root depth of the plants to be cultivated. The mixture is laid in the form of briquettes moulded under the right pressure, and which are laid as paving stones underneath the surface of the ground. The compressed mould of mixed refuse and mud can be disintegrated and inserted loosely into the ground to an appropriate depth, in the form of a cohesive carpet.
