Work-combat clothing fabric - has an outer cotton twill layer and an inner worsted-synthetic smooth weave layer

The structure of a fabric for work or combat clothing, giving mechanical strength and flame resistant qualities, has an outer weave of pure cotton in a twill surface material. The inner weave is of worsted with a small addn. of synthetic fibres, such as 15% polyamide, in a smooth surface finish. The fabric is light wt. and flame resistant, with an air layer between the two layers of the fabric giving the wearer protection and comfort. The wt. and performance of the material cna be modified by altering the fibre types and gauges.
