The coolant supply system is used in a grinding machine, especially in a surface grinder with segmented wheels and vertical axis of rotation. The coolant supply is held by the hollow grinding tool spindle to the coolant nozzles held on the grinding tool. The coolant arrives directly on the grinding zone and coolant losses are avoided. The grinding wheel hollow spindle (1) accommodates a fixed pipe (5) for coolant supply. The pipe carries a fixed coolant nozzle. (8). The nozzle has an outlet opening (9) limited to cover only the working area. The coolant supply pipe (5) is supported by a rotating bearing (6) on the grinding wheel spindle (1).
