The arrangement is for centering a cylindrical winding former in an external cylindrical hollow rotor body, in particular for a turbogenerator having superconducting exciting winding. The rotor is designed such that subsequent centering of the inner-lying winding former relative to the outer rotor-body can take place, in order to balance out any imbalance due to inaccurate centering. The winding former carries on both its end-faces coaxial extension pieces, and several radial tensioning bolts arranged symmetrically within the outer rotor-body to act radially on the extension pieces, these bolts being made adjustable from outside the rotor-body.
