Tunnel lining with arches and corrugated sheets - has corrugated cold rolled steel sheets secured to return flanges of U=section arches

The tunnel lining consists of steel arches (3) which match the shape of the tunnel, e.g. inverted U shape, or circular, between which cladding sheets (2) are retained, along the sides of the tunnel. The arches can be returned flanged, with the sheets attached to the return flanges (7), and the sheets are corrugated. The corrugations can be rounded, triangular or trapezoidal. The interior of the U section faces the interior of the tunnel. The U-section is flanged, with angle section members (9) bolted to the flanges, with sealing strips (10) between. The corrugated sheets are then secured to the other leg of the angles. The bend of the U section forms an obtuse angle. The corrugated sheets are of cold rolled steel.
