Decimal tabulating unit for typewriter or similar office machine has a toothed adjusting segment which is adjustable against hte action of a spring and is actively coupled with slider stop. The segment is directly connected to one of the three-armed adjusting levers which individually are brought into action manually by means of the associated decimal keys. A control lever is form-coupled to the universal rocker arm. The slider stops have projections with surfaces inclined relative to the carriage's direction of movement such that the projections are positioned radially on the free ends of flexible teeth.
