A stoving lacquer comprises a film-forming OH contg. polyepoxy cpd. (I) and an alkyl acetate blocked polyisocyanate of formula (II), (III) and/or (IV): (where R1 is n-propyl, i-propyl, tert-, i- or se-butyl or pentyl and R2 is as R1 or Me, Et, hexyl, heptyl, oxtyl, nonyl, decyl or dodecyl). (I)-(IV) are soluble in organic solvents. The coating has good adhesion, flexibility, hardness, flow and gloss and does not discolour in an industrial acid contg. atmosphere.
