PCB acting simultaneously as base of module housing - has wiring in channels separated by raised portions in under side of panel

A printed circuit board, which is used simultaneously as the base of a housing. It consists of a plastic base section with holes and covered with printed wiring. The base section (2) of the printed circuit board (1) is in the form of a casting with entry holes (5). The moulded base section has raised portions (11) and channels (12) on the side with the printed wiring, to form a three dimensional profile. The printed wiring is located in the channels, which are separated by the raised portions. The internal diameter of the channels is approximately equal to the diameter of the entry holes for the terminal wires. Some of the raised sections have a tapered cross section.
