The arrangement consists of a housing in which at least one centrifugal wheel is mounted on either side of a belt (5) which is guided over rollers (10, 11) through the centre of the housing. The angle at which the particles are projected, with reference to the strip material centreline, can be adjusted to adapt the spray to the width of the strip. To make this angular adjustment possible, the housing in which the centrifuges are mounted, can be pivoted about an axis (6) which is vertical to the strip material. Worm screws are mounted under the strip material to convey the grit back to the supply container.
