The end of the fresh air duct has a cowl pivoted about an axis (8) parallel to one edge. The sides of the cowl are set close to the side walls of the duct while the bottom edge of the cowl is formed by a flexible foil (2) which is slotted out of the bottom of the duct in an angled slot. As the cowl is swung into the duct, the foil passes out of the slot so that the airflow is not restricted. The face of the cowl has movable louvres to direct the airstream.
