The exchange pertains to a telephone network with automatic pulse counting. It has a rejection filter, a bandpass filter and a charge pulse counter. It comprises two supply circuits (5, 6) of which the first (5) lies between the speech wires (a, b) of a subscriber line and supplies the meter (4) during pauses. The other supply circuit (6) is inserted into one of the wires (a,b) and supplies the meter (4) during calls through a store with an energy derived from the telephone loop.
