Yarn skein tying - in which a loop of hank yarn passes round the strand for the ends to be knotted

In tying up wound yarn strands, a hank yarn surrounds the yarn strand and its two ends are knotted together. The hank yarn forms at least one loop running on the inner flat side to the first side edge of the yarn strand. The other loop end lies at this side edge coming from a hank yarn end running from the outer flat side of the strand. The other hank yarn end passes round the second side edge from the inner to the outer flat surfaces of the strand. The process gives a convenient, simple and rapid method of tying up yarn strands, in a positive action.
