The film strip projector has either manual or motorised film transport in the forward of the reverse direction. The film is transported around the perimeter of a drum of transparent material. A motor (18) drives the drum (14) around which the film is transported by teeth (24, 26) engaging the film perforations. The film is fed from spools on either side of the transport drum. The drum periphery (14) is made of transparent material so that the film can be projected by a lamp (8) through condenser lenses (12) and the film at the gate (22) into a periscope (28, 30) and the projector objective lens system (32).
