Readily mounted shower curtain and support fixtures - include adjustable clamps for attachment to fixed vertical rod

The curtain rail is attached to a locally fixed anchorage point by a support element (16) with a pair of clamping jaws (18, 20). These clamp round a vertical locally fixed support rod (14) e.g. the shower pipe. One of the clamping jaws (18) is firstly connected to the support element (16) whilst the second clamping jaw (20) can be moved away from the first jaw until the two jaws can be closed round the support rod. The length of the clamping face formed by the clamping jaws measured in the direction of the support rod is great enough to take up the force which could be exterted on the support rail (2) and support element (16) during use of the shower curtain (4). A single hand-operated clamping screw can be used to exert the clamping force between the two clamping jaws.
