Application of intrinsic stress conditions to flexural stress girders is by simultaneously stressed tension and pressure stress members, esp. in prestressed concrete construction. The direction of the axes of the tension and pressure stress members in the anchorage area are brought to bear in the same plane. With the application of tension stressing forces, the tension stress members (1) move the anchoring unit (4) in a centering channel, in the direction of the pressure stress member (2), so as to press a compensating plunger (6) into the latter member's sheath channel, via contact forces emanating from the anchoring unit. This abbreviates the lateral deviation of pressure bars under the influence of the force. This provides a closed equilibrium state in every condition, using only the stabilising effect of the girder without subjecting it to stressing forces.
