Control heating costs are calculated for each heating unit in a central heating system. A device checks for each unit the temp. difference voltage between heat inlet and outlet. These difference voltages are transmitted to a central station, where they are added and stored for each consumer unit. A display device is provided in the central station. Each consumer uni thas a flowmeter whic makes possible the delivery of temp. difference voltages after a certain volume of water has flowed through. The temp. difference measuring device and the flowmeter are connected through a control circuit to a collecting line common to all consumer units and the central station. The temp. difference voltages are cylically interrogated by the central station and transmitted to it.
