Remote current supply for AC repeaters - has live parts mounted in casing, and fuses inserted in all live wires, and is esp. for TV network distribution
In the AC signal distribution networks, repeaters are supplied from a central station through separate lines. Parts which are during operation at a higher than permissible voltage, are mounted in protective casings (Schi). The centre tapping of a transformer (Tr1) supply winding (W) is directly earthed in the central station (Z). Fuses (Si) are inserted in the separate wires (a, b, a', b'), and in wires (a", b", a"', b"') branching off from them. In addition, fuses (Si) are connected to the secondary side of a second transformer (Tr2) in a stray field circuit.
