Pulse delay circuit giving independently variable pulse edges - has output of first monostable multivibrator connected to two parallel monostables and separate potentiometer for each monostable
Pulse delay circuit giving independently variable pulse edges - has output of first monostable multivibrator connected to two parallel monostables and separate potentiometer for each monostable
The delay circuit can delay an input pulse by an amount exceeding the time between input pulses and deliver an output pulse whose duration can be varied independently of the time delay. The input pulse triggers a first monostable multivibrator (M1) whose period is determined by a first potentiometer (P1). The output of the first monostable is connected to the inputs of two further parallel connected monostables whose output pulse durations are determined by two potentiometers. The output of the second monostable (M2) and the inverted output of the third monostable (M3) are the inputs to a NAND-gate (G) whose output is the desired pulse. Diodes may be inserted in series with the potentiometers for temperature compensation.
