The high frequency system uses a pulse generator to apply pulses to electrodes, employed in an acupuncture system. The pulses are applied to the acupuncture points within a frequency band made up of separate individual frequencies, or the whole band of frequencies. The circuit uses a noise diode to generate the frequencies, and this may be a digital noise diode. The generator is arranged to supply only the frequencies passed by the band pass filter. The middle frequency and/or the band width is controlled at the band pass. The frequency band can be obtained by wobbulation. It may be wobbulated by 10% of a certain frequency or harmonic.
