Tunnel kiln for baking ceramic prods. - which are stacked on refractory tiles travelling on rollers through kiln

Prods. rest on conveyor tiles(a) travelling through the kiln on rollers or balls rotating on base tiles(b). The kiln has a closed hearth covered by rows of stationary sole flues on which rows of tiles(b) are located. The rows of tiles(a, b) from at least one conveyor track. Tiles(a, b) pref. have a U-shaped cross-section, where the legs of the "U" face each other to form channels in which the rollers or balls are located. The tiles, rollers and balls are pref. made of refractory material. Rapid heating of the prods. with good temp. distribution in the kiln is provided.
