The shears have plain grip arms (1, 2). The rear end of the cutting edges of the blades (3) have inclined edge cut-outs (7, 7') extending to the rotating point of the tool. A V-shaped plate spring (8) holds the shear halves together and has lengthways recesses through which the shear halves are guided at their rear ends. The spring has a cross fillet with which it passes through the edge recesses. The tensioned arms of the plate spring extend along the parts of the shear halves connected to the blades and are joined to these parts.
