In woodworking, or in work on chipboard, plastics or sandwich panels, or other similar lightweight workpieces the cutter (5) is advanced along the contour to be cut while the drill (6) is simultaneously moved forward from the side facing away from the cutting device, to drill the corresponding holes. The machine pref. has one or more cutter with regulated drive mechanism (7), displaceable in a single plane, and a plate (12) or similar retainer for attachable drills pref. on the side of the plane opposite to the cutter motor and adjustable vertically to the plane.
