Transportable precision manometer system - combines analogue and digital indications for optimum reading convenience under varying environmental conditions

A transportable precision pressure measuring instrument is esp. for the checking and adjustment of manometers in situ, having two separate pressure measuring units exposed to the same input pressure, one giving an analogue indication and the other a digital indication. The analogue indication may be provided by a precision manometer, and the digital indication by a transducer followed by an A/D converter and display unit. The provision of the alternative reading systems facilitates the taking of precise readings under unfavourable circumstances, e.g. when successive readings have to be taken quickly and the analogue indication does not settle sufficiently rapidly, or when lightning conditions make the analogue instrument difficult to read.
