Mining conveyor transfer station - has second conveyor top run supported by garland rollers on suspension tackle

Transfer station is used between two continuously-running conveyors handling the ore extracted by a cutting machine in a deep mine, the discharge head of the first conveyor being suspended from a tackle movable along a hanger rail extending along the second one. The second conveyor (40) is of the conventional belt type, and the tackle (15) is equipped with a number of sets of garland rollers (53-56). These support the section of the belt working with the discharge head (4) and which has no supporting rollers (46, 50) for the top run. The discharge head can have a travel cab (12) connected to the tackle, which has supporting arms (52) to which the garland roller sets can be fitted.
