The aerial array, for interferometric direction finding, consists of two groups of serials each serving one of two adjacent frequency ranges. The adjacent serials in different groups are connected together via directional couplers. The coupling factor of the directional couplers is chosen such that the energy radiated by an individual aerial (determined by the energy coupled through its directional coupler) is greater than that from the same aerial resulting from radiation coupling between adjacent aerials. Phase shifters are incorporated to phase match couplers to aerials.
