Deburring sand cores by a granulate - which is thrown upwards against the cores by rotating impeller blades

The granulate is driven by centrifugal action and pref. upwards against the core, esp. with an alteration in the acceleration of the granulate and/or the force applied to the granulate during deburring. The granulate pref. travels in =1 ring-shaped path in which the core is moved or rotated, and sand falling off the core is pref. thrown upwards together with the granulate i.e. onto the core. The pref. plant consists of a cabient with a lid and a holder may be rotated, and is located above two rotating shafts, each with an impeller blade driving the granulate upwards, the blades may be fitted with brushes which break up any large pieces of sand removed from the cores. The joint lines in core boxes result in flash or burrs being present on the sand cores. The invention provides a simple which is easily adjusted for deburring many types of core.
