The side unloading arrangement is for a strut conveyor for a mining extraction machine which can be used if need be to guide the machine as well. The arrangement is installed on the mine filling side and has a tensioning rope running in parallel to the conveyor. This rope is flexibly connected to spaced, housing-like connecting consoles that guide product-delivering riggins which can be positioned across the conveyor. The tensioning rope is connected to the end of the conveyor at least indirectly and via at least one sliding piston unit. The tensioning rope is stiffened by a guide rope and is relatively displaceable w.r.t. it. The guide rope is flexible to a limited extent and connected at least indirectly to the conveyor.
