A hot film embossing machine has a punch, a drive, magazine for heated film, and a device to hold the magazine for easy replacement; the magazine has a holder for unreeling/reeling and a guide for the film to pass along a set path to be embossed and driven. The embossing and drive arrangements are coupled to the reel-up device so as to turn the latter as the film is fed along. Quick replacement of film reel, even film feed to permit maximum utilisation of film, partic. intended for use with heat-sensitive printing films which are simply pressed by a hot punch.
