Toy bricks (1), which are made from expanded plastic or an inflatable skin, are provided with flat strips (2) so that each surface of the brick (1) is at least partially covered by the strip. The strips (2) permit individual bricks to be attached to each other. The strips can be made of two types of nylon ribbon which cling to each other due to a great number of minute hooks. It is also possible to use magnetic strips of opposite polarity in order to join the toy bricks together.
