The building construction element has an inner support core and an edging and facing envelope of plastics coated sheet metal. The inner part of the element is accessible from above or below for fitting supports and lagging and service conduits. The supports (120) of the inner core have channels. The channel U-brackets (126) can be placed into the channels for connecting supports of the inner core. Each support (120) has two channels. Noise insulation material is attached by adhesive bonding or between the envelope and inner core.
