An inductive transducer for conversion of motion of mechanical objects into electrical signals contains primary and secondary coils with cores connected to one of the mutually movable objects. A main screen connected to the other object lies in the gap between the coils. It is designed to maintain and where required corrects its dependence on the object motion and to modulate one input signal with the other. An additional screen is placed in the gap in a plane parallel to that of the main screen. This ensures the correct relation between the electrical signal and the relative object motions.
