Antitheft mounting for licence plate - has recessed ratchet bolt clipped into hard metal cup and rear support ring which spaces plate and chassis

The licence plate is secured by a countersunk bolt whose ratchet ends are clipped into a hard metal cup at the rear of the chassis mounting and grip a flange in the cup. A spacer ring is set between the plate and the chassis and is glued to the rear of the plate. The spacer ring, of hardened metal, prevents the head of th bolt being drilled out to loosen the plate. The plate can only be removed by damaging it or the mounting.
