Mfr. is of a flat-type solar-heat collector composed of a collector plate, 1 or more panes transparent to radiation, and a duct system for a heat transfer medium, and is bonded to a carrier made of a foam material. Foam-forming reactants are poured into a mould whose cavity has the configuration of the contours of the intended collector carrier and into which a profiles component has been placed, spaced-apart from the cavity walls, so that a thin, compact skin of foam material is formed. After this skin has hardened the profiled component is removed and the mould filled with foam.
