The card is for use in competitions and similar activities and has an opaque layer concealing the data printed on the card surface. This layer must be removed to reveal the information. An intermediate layer may also be provided between the printed data and the opaque layer. This prevents reading of the printed information without removal of the opaque layer and consists of a random pattern of scrolls, curves, dots or lines which break up and confuse the outlines of the data. A further similar design may be printed on the card as a background, acting as an additional safeguard.
