Mobile grounding device for outdoor HV equipment - has manual telescopic grounding bars on extendable horizontal arms and vertical supports

The mobile grounding and short-circuiting device, for outdoor h.v. switchgear, consists of a trolley with three manually-erected telescopic vertical grounding bars (1). One bar is at the centre of the trolley and the other two are located one at each end. All three bars can pivot about a horizontal axis. To accommodate overhead lines or terminals various distances apart, the outer bars are mounted on extendable horizontal arms (11, 12) and/or on extendable vertical supports (8).
