Internal brace for straightening molar teeth - has sleeves fitted elastically on wires of brace to form stops for collars around teeth

The brace is fitted to provide a support for collars fitted around molar teeth which need straightening. The brace has external and internal wires, the collars being on sleeves for sliding into the correct position. Each collar and its sleeve are retained in position by another sleeve (3) fitted onto the wire (2). This second sleeve grips tightly and has a longitudinal wedge-shaped slot (7), pliers open the slot to enable the stop sleeve to slide along the wire, gripping elastically when released. A tube (11) over the collar may retain a rod (12), used similarly to open the sleeve when compressed by pliers.
