The underground vehicle if fitted with a cabin in such a way that in case of falling rock, the cabin can slide away into a shielded area. The cabin (101) is fitted to the vehicle in a vertically slidable manner. It is connected to the vehicle (3) by an element (106) with predetermined breaking point. The element is fitted to the cabin side which is on the far side related to the vehicle. The cabin is further connected to the vehicle by element (10) in such a way that in case of a sliding movement of the cabin in relation to the vehicle a relatively high friction coefficient is present.
