The system arranges stacks of tiles for baking on a truck travelling through an oven, intermediate plates being inserted between rows of tiles on top of each other, while a number of stacks are mounted side by side on the truck. Packets (18), each containing a limited number of tiles, are arranged in a row on a supporting surface on the truck (1), this surface having a number of sections inclined in relation to each other in pairs to form obtuse-angled Vees. Thus the packets on adjacent sections lean against each other, with the tiles edgewise, while on top of them are formed a number of flat stacks (47) arranged side by side.
