Each casing ring has at least one or more linings with elastic elements (7) facing e.g. the surrounding earth and in place of the back-filling. Each element has a pressure-receiving surface in the form of a pressure plate (8) which by means of a clamping screw (10) can be stressed relative to a compression spring (9). The spring is effectively located between the pressure plate and the rear (4) of the lining. The plate rests on an elastic ring (11) made from e.g. polystyrol and on a foam bed (12) and has a centering core (13) which passes through the bed and spring and has a support shoulder (14) for the spring. The clamping screw engages in a threaded borehole (15) in the core.
