Interference pulse suppression circuit for car radio - has interference signal channel with gating pulse shaper eliminating harmonics within wanted signal range

The radio set has at least one transmission channel for the wanted signal, and an additional channel for interference signals followed by a detector controlling an electronic switch which blocks wanted signal transmission during interference signal presence. The electronic switch is provided before the receiver's (80) narrow band selection circuit. Blanking pulses derived from pulses detected in the additional channel (40) are so shaped, that their harmonics are outside the wanted signal range, or they are so suppressed, that their interference is much lower than that of the initial interference pulse.
