Involution and gear tooth angle tester - is for large gears and uses divided drive train and relative motion compensation

A continuously adjustable involution and gear tooth angle tester is used. It has a mechanical drive train between the measurement sensor and test wheel. It is designed to enable testing of larger gear wheels than hitherto possible with at least as good accuracy as hitherto achieved. The drive train is open at one point, each part of the train being driven by a motor connected to a controller. The relative movement of the elements at the opening is measured and used as a motor control parameter and for measurement sensor compensation.
