A photoelectric solar cell consists of a photoconverter, a solar radiation concentrator and a reflector. The photoconverter is kept cool by being arranged inside a concentrator which is designed as a hermetically sealed cavity, filled with a transparent heat transfer medium. This enables the photoconverter to be operated continuously at a high solar ray concentration rate. Such a cell contains no revolving parts and requires no maintenance. Typically the photoconverter has a working surface which receives the solar radiation. It is housed inside a hermetically sealed vessel which is filled with a transparent heat transfer medium; this vessel combines the functions of a concentrator (as a collecting lens) and of a coolant for the photoconverter; a mirror reflector is arranged at half the local length L from the photoconverter.
