The eccentric pump has a housing containing a pump chamber with suction inlet and pressure outlet. In the pump chamber is a flexible, hollow impeller with a bridge between inlet and outlet, and in the needle bearing of the impeller an eccentric bush rolls. The impeller (18) is retained in the pump chamber by the bridge (22), and is formed by a cylinder of relatively thick-walled material, whilst the bridge end (22) is formed as a rib (24) running parallel to the lengthways axis of the impeller (18), sitting in the recess in the housing inner wall (10). The rib is round and pin-shaped, and its corresponding recess is formed to accommodate it.
